Sargodha, March 4, 2024. More than six national and international events were held on the 4th day of the “Research Arena 2024” at the University of Sargodha.
The second international conference on ‘Modern Trends in Linguistics and Literature’ a joint effort of the Department of English, TUOL Sargodha campus and Englishers international kicked off at NBS Hall. 
The opening ceremony of two day conference was presided over by the Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui; former VC AIOU Islamabad along with VC UoS Prof. Dr. Qasir Abbas.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui emphasized the pivotal role of academia and research in navigating the complexities of the 21st century. Described as the hub of knowledge and innovation, this century demands a paradigm shift to meet the evolving needs of our rapidly changing world, he concluded. 
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas briefed the audience about the academic and developmental progress of the University. He reiterated the University's commitment to provide a premier research platform through the Research Arena 2024 and expressed pride in the university's role as a pioneer in promoting collaborative research and scholarly endeavors.
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature hosted the first Arabic International Conference on Teaching Methods of Arabic Language. The conference aimed to foster a deeper understanding of Arabic language pedagogy, particularly in the context of Pakistani and Arab universities. More than 80 researchers across the world are presenting their research work in this two day international conference.
The Department of Psychology organized the second national conference on ‘sustainable community: challenges and Trends’. Around 69 research papers and 13 poster presentations were part of the on day national conference.  
Filmmaker and producer Syed Noor attended an artist talk arranged by Institute and Design on the theme of ‘Synchronicity of Souls: Harmony of Cultures through Artistic Expressions’.
Syed Noor emphasized on the transformative power of art, highlighting its ability to transcend linguistic, cultural, and geographical barriers. He encouraged attendees to continue supporting initiatives that promote cultural harmony and understanding the role of individuals in fostering a more inclusive society.
Moreover, an in-house out-reach program titled as "Precision Agriculture: a way forwarded for future food security" was organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural studies to create awareness and showcase the importance of Precision Agriculture as future of Agricultural sector to increase per acre yield and to disseminate the advance technologies among farming communities in the country for sustainable Agricultural development. 
The forth day activities concluded with the experts' talks on “Social inclusion of marginalized communities for sustainable development” conducted by the Department of Social work.
